Job Summary: Provide support to Tool Room by performing utility tasks.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent analytic and communication skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must have a good knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949
Essential Functions:
- Ensure continuous efficiency of production processes through performance of utility tasks, including adjusting sensors, performing electrode changes, and additional minor maintenance tasks
- Communicate with robotic weld technicians to address larger maintenance issues
- Perform any duties required for changeover
- Seek ways to reduce waste, manufacturing byproducts, and hazardous raw materials
- Seek corrective actions for maintenance issues
- Assist Maintenance Department with PM's, 5S, and other tasks as needed
- Make recommendations on any improvement that will enhance production operations, employee health and safety, process improvements, and cost effectiveness
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies
- Perform special projects and assignments at the request of the Maintenance Supervisor
- Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Weld Assembly Supervisor
- Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
