Job Summary:
Set up all Tupelo presses from 700 ton to 3000 ton, while ensuring quality and productivity standards are met. Completes all necessary documentation.
Essential Functions:
- Complete press set-ups in a safe and timely manner.
- Pre-stage next dies
- Problem solve automation problem s as they arise (i.e. decoiler, feeder, die, etc)
- Ability to set dies
- Complete all necessary documentation correctly and in a timely manner.
- Serve as a Spotter when needed
- Provide assistance when needed
- Follow work instructions and verbal directions to meet targeted production quotas.
- Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and
- Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation, and
- Occupational Safety and Health and Safety Act
- Competency Level 1 all systems where personnel need to have a basic understanding of the processes and interactions as determined by the team
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Forklift and Crane certification
- Minimum 1 year experience in a press machine operation and setup
- Experience with measuring equipment
- Strong ability to trouble shoot and problem solve technical issues
