Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our dynamic team in a fine casual dining environment. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that every patron enjoys a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for the food industry, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Ensure all food safety and handling procedures are followed to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Provide attentive service to guests, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Process payments accurately using cash handling skills and operate the cash register effectively.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain communication throughout service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas for special events or busy service periods.
- Not limited to assisting in the back when needed.
- Not limited to helping out in our offsite catering events when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a casual restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures.
- Proficiency in cash handling, including basic math skills for processing transactions.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Shift 4, is a plus.
- Excellent guest service skills with an ability to create a positive dining experience for all patrons.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
