Duties
- Measure and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to determine siding installation requirements.
- Install different siding materials such as Lp, Hardy board, cedar, and metal siding using hand tools and power tools.
- Use ladders and scaffolding safely for elevated areas during installation.
- Follow all construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence to maintain a secure work environment.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety procedures.
- Complete restoration or remodeling tasks related to exterior finishes as required.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site experience tasks such as framing, masonry, plumbing, or carpentry when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with siding installation or related fields such as roofing, framing, or remodeling.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints effectively.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including ladder use and harness safety protocols.
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with outdoor work experience preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and proper use of construction safety harnesses.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and blueprint reading skills.
