About the Role
Martin & Zerfoss, Inc. is seeking an Associate Commercial Lines Account Manager (non-sales) to service our small business accounts. This is an early career/entry level role for a dedicated individual interested in learning, growth, and advancement. This is a full-time role in Nashville, TN. The position has a hybrid work arrangement, with 2 days in-office and 3 days WFH after the initial in-person training period. In this role, the Small Business Associate Commercial Lines Account Manager will:
- Manage Commercial Lines client accounts with the focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Support Producers in day-to-day servicing of client accounts, including direct contact with clients and insurance carriers.
- Take clients’ phone calls, analyze new and renewal policies and coverages, process agency bill transactions, quote and present new lines of coverage to round out accounts, and remarket existing lines of coverage.
- Develop strong relationships and trust with clients, producers, underwriters, carriers, and teammates.
- Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverage.
- Utilize Applied Epic to manage and track all work.
- Follow agency and department workflows and procedures to complete daily tasks.
- Seek opportunities to learn and grow in the insurance field.

About you
- Experience working in a customer-facing, professional environment.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
- Able to reliably commute to our West Nashville office two days a week after the initial training period.
- Some commercial insurance knowledge desired.
- Tennessee Insurance License desired but not required.
- Experience using an insurance management platform desired but not required.
- Exemplary organization, time management and prioritization skills.
- Bachelor’s degree desired but not required.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Team player that contributes to a positive work culture.
- Interested in a client servicing support role.

Salary range between $48,000-$60,000 commensurate with experience
