What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wholesale Route Driver position at Martin Wine Cellar?
Wines Unlimited in New Orleans, LA is looking for a Driver to join our team. We are located at 4221 Bienville Street in the heart of mid-city New Orleans.
Wholesale Route Driver Job Requirements:
- Safe driving record; Class D licensure preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Delivery experience preferred
- Lifting and carrying 40 pound wine/liquor boxes majority of the day
- Exceptional customer service skills while on deliveries throughout the city/state
- Ability to work well under little to no supervision
Wholesale Route Driver Duties:
- Drive safely in various weather conditions
- Navigate a variety of routes throughout the state while adhering to a time schedule
- Open route includes Northern Louisiana (i.e., up to 300 miles/day of driving plus drop offs)
- Load and unload goods to be delivered
- Complete and maintain driver logs and reports
- Pull orders and other inventory organizational projects as assigned
