What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Planner 1st Shift position at Martin Sprocket & Gear?

What You'll Do:
- Order Planning: Plan orders using production resources and communication with Sales.
- ERP Management: Set B.O.M. and work routing through the shop in our ERP system (MS Dynamics AX).
- Order Tracking: Track orders through the Shop, expediting when necessary.
- Backorder Assistance: Assist with parts backorders and field questions for work in progress.
- Workflow Maintenance: Use MS Office Suite programs to maintain workflow.
- Career Growth: Cross-train for future career growth opportunities.
- Shop Environment: Spend up to 20% of the time in the shop environment.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (related Majors also considered.)
- Experience: Preference will be given to applicants with experience with planning orders in a manufacturing industry
- Attention to detail: Strong focus on accuracy and good communication in all tasks.
- Availability: Full-time, with occasional Saturday overtime as needed, adherence to attendance and company policies.
- Mechanical knowledge: Familiarity with basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledge.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Reliability and accuracy: Commitment to reliable work with a high standard of accuracy in drawings and specifications.
Your Schedule:
- 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
