Martin School of Dance in Bedford, NH is seeking an experienced Independent Contractor Dance Instructor to provide maternity leave coverage for select Acro and Jazz classes beginning March 2026 through June 2026. This is a 1099 contractor position and will take place on-site on Tuesdays.All recital choreography will already be completed. The instructor’s primary responsibility will be to rehearse, clean, and refine existing routines for dancers ages 5–13 in Jumpstart Jazz, Mini Acro, and Acro 1. This includes reinforcing technique, spacing, timing, musicality, and performance quality, while maintaining safe Acro progressions appropriate to each age group. The instructor will guide dancers through consistent rehearsals, build confidence, and ensure students are well prepared for end-of-season performances.The ideal candidate has prior experience teaching Acro and/or Jazz to children and is confident stepping into an established program with continuity and care. Acrobatic Arts certification is strongly preferred (or equivalent acrobatics training), with a solid understanding of safety standards, progressions, and injury prevention. The instructor should excel at polishing existing choreography rather than creating new routines and bring a positive, encouraging, and professional teaching style to the classroom. Reliability and strong classroom management are essential.Candidates must be eligible to work as an independent contractor (1099). CPR/First Aid certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain), and a background check is required. Compensation is competitive and based on experience, paid per class or hourly.
