What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Part Time Kettle Fryer position at Martin's Snacks?
SUMMARY
Ensures quality products by operating the kettle-cooked chip fryer and inspecting raw potatoes. Hours are 8am-1pm Monday through Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Fries kettle-cooked chips
- Inspects peeled potatoes before frying
- Maintains a clean work environment
- Recognizes problems with equipment or product and reports to management
- Fills in for other related positions as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) and;
- Three to six months related experience and/or training or;
- Equivalent combination or education and experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other employees
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and documents such as rules and procedures
- Ability to perform without direct supervision
- Ability to create and maintain cooperation with co-workers
- Ability to tolerate extreme heat
- Ability or ability to be trained to operate a forklift
