Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, with a strong background in working with various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical . This role offers an opportunity to work on a diverse range of vehicles, including GM models, and to utilize advanced tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and advanced diagnostic tools
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including engine repairs, transmissions, alignments.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and installations
- Service and repair vehicle components such as powertrain systems, electrical systems, and ADAS features
- Execute wheel alignments and perform vehicle inspections to identify issues proactively
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins for accurate repairs
- Maintain detailed records of work performed using auto estimating software
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and professionally
Experience
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics
- Hands-on experience with GM vehicles preferred but not required
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components, and diesel engines
- Experience with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment, welding, and vehicle maintenance techniques
- Familiarity with schematics, auto estimating tools, and diagnostic equipment is highly desirable
- Prior experience working with service departments in fast-paced environments demonstrating mechanical expertise and customer service skills
