Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including light trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and applying fertilizers or pesticides following safety protocols.
- Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as blowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery with precision and care.
- Assist with installation and repair of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and turf areas.
- Maintain grounds by performing tasks like edging beds, removing debris, mulching landscapes, and managing snow plowing during winter months.
- Follow safety procedures rigorously during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Support construction projects such as installing hardscape features like patios or walkways while adhering to project specifications.
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience or background in groundskeeping, landscaping, or construction is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment operation is essential for efficient task completion.
- Familiarity with plant identification, pest management (including pesticide application), and irrigation systems enhances your ability to maintain healthy landscapes.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, lawn care equipment, and grounds maintenance machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments; commitment to maintaining a safe workspace at all times.
- Excellent physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
