Cashier
Reporting to the General Manager, cashiers are responsible for operating a point-of-sale register to process transactions and providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate a point-of-sale cash register to process sales and returns
- Process store credits
- Set up new customer loyalty accounts
- Provide excellent customer service
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication skills with customers and other employees
- Able to count money and make change, having a good knowledge of basic mathematics
- Able to type alphanumeric characters accurately
- Able to work independently and also be a team player
Flexible in all areas, including but not limited to: work schedule, duties and responsibilities, extreme weather
Education & Experience Requirements
- Previous cashier/customer service experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift, pull, push at least 50 lbs
- Able to sit or stand for an extended period of time
- Able to work in all types of weather conditions, etc.
