Summary: As a member of the Martin's Family, the Product Coordinator Lead assist with organizing the workload and directing other employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Transports finished product via an electric jack from the palletizer to the storage location or a tractor-trailer in an accurate and orderly fashion.
- Ensures each pallet is strapped correctly.
- Maintains the supply of pallets to the palletizing machines.
- Removes broken or dirty baskets and pallets from circulation.
- Examines and removes any defective product from the pallet.
- Checks product clips to ensure the accurate color, price and date are used.
- Receives, picks, verifies and loads product orders.
- Attaches or marks identifying tags or labels to product or materials.
- Installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent the shifting and damage of loads while in transit.
- Unloads returned product form tractor-trailers and transports to the stale area.
- Empties baskets, tubs and pallets of stale product into the stale machine.
- Operates and fills the stale machine.
- Monitors and fills the basket lines with empty baskets.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the trailers, stale room and warehouse.
- Processes orders from salespersons as needed.
- Ensures that older product is being loaded and sent out before newer product.
- Adheres to safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
Office Responsibilities:
- Maintains dock inventory including what trailers are assigned to which doors and assigning trailers to loads based on specific criteria obtained from load sheet.
- Maintains product inventories throughout transport systems.
- Reports and corrects issues that arise within the transport systems.
- Reviews dispatch times and determines what warehouses need to be pulled at what hours according to load sheet.
- Uses Savanna System to allocate products to fulfill sales orders.
- Releases orders using Savanna system thru the ASRS and Cimcorp systems for product fulfillment.
Floor Responsibilities:
- Hand out and give direction of loading to loaders.
- Check loads during and at completion prior to shipping orders.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Assist Product Coordinating Supervisor in directing work of employees in the Transport Department. Ensures that employees are following food safety standards and departmental procedures.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Three to five years’ experience in transportation industry.
- Prior Electric Pallet Jack experience required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
- Knowledge of keyboard, data entry and Microsoft Office Suite.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to operate or learn to operate electric jack.
