What You'll Do
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated A Level Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure our customers receive top-quality service, keeping their vehicles safe, reliable, and performing at their best. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles, utilizing your technical knowledge and mechanical skills to deliver exceptional results.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain diesel engines, powertrain components, and automotive engine systems to manufacturer standards.
- Conduct wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance, and heavy lifting tasks safely using power tools and manual handling techniques.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical faults effectively.
- Execute repairs involving automotive bodywork, welding, and mechanical repairs to restore vehicles to optimal condition.
- Use hand tools and power tools proficiently for disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicle components.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working on various vehicle types.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and diagnostics.
- Skilled in diesel engine repair, powertrain maintenance, wheel alignment, and automotive repair techniques.
- Ability to interpret schematics accurately and perform mechanical repairs efficiently.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles is advantageous but not essential; a broad understanding of automotive systems is required.
- Experience with welding, auto body repair, heavy lifting, and the use of hand tools or power tools is preferred.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with a proactive attitude toward vehicle maintenance and customer service excellence.
