Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our orthodontic team. This position involves assisting with various orthodontic procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a well-organized clinical environment.
Duties
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including the placement and adjustment of braces and other orthodontic appliances.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Utilize 3D scanning technology to capture accurate impressions for treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment progress.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient flow within the office.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
Skills
- Proficiency in using 3D scanners and familiarity with digital imaging techniques.
- Dental X-ray license required
- Strong understanding of anatomy as it relates to dental health.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
