Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a part-time facility assistant to join our corporate department in our Lakewood, Colorado office. This position performs maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to the company headquarters building and grounds.

EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to work requests submitted by employees
- Utilize CMMS program to schedule, dispatch, track, and report repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks, such as light repairs, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC filter replacement, wall patching, painting, and general upkeep of the facility.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of events or meetings held within the facility. This could include arranging chairs, tables, and audiovisual equipment.
- Provide excellent service to employees and visitors by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and directing them to the appropriate resources or personnel.
- Support facility-related projects, such as renovations, office relocations, or equipment installations.
- Keep the outside grounds maintained. May include mowing, trimming, sprinkler system maintenance, and mulching.
- Schedule activities to avoid disruption of services to internal and external customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES
This position is both mental and physical in nature with a high percentage of physical work, working inside and outside the building completing a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:
- Walk, kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, and remain stationary
- Position self in atypical environments and small, confined spaces
- Regularly use fixed ladders (access to mechanical penthouses) and portable ladders (interior and limited height exterior maintenance)
- Continual repetitive motion (such as using tools)
- Identify color
- Read, communicate, and document in English
- Determine and exchange accurate information
- Move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Various hand and power tools, cell phone, computer.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma and 1-2 years related work experience
- Knowledge of safe work practices around office building mechanical systems
- Experience with facilities maintenance, plumbing and HVAC
- Previous work experience as a handyman or in a skilled trade
- Is proactive, has good organizational skills, and is reliable
- Self-motivated team player
- Works independently
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong computer skills. Knowledge of key card and EMS system software
- Knowledge of plumbing and hot water systems
- Experience and understanding of HVAC/boiler/chiller systems
- Experience and understanding of lighting and electrical systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
