Job Summary
Martin Marietta is currently looking for energized individuals to join our team at Olathe Quarry in Olathe, KS. This position would be responsible for operating a variety of mining equipment, including skid loader and dredge, haul trucks, loaders and water trucks.
Location
The Olathe Quarry is a large-scale aggregate mining operation that supplies crushed stone and related materials for construction, infrastructure, and industrial projects across the region. The site operates a full production cycle, including drilling, blasting, material extraction, crushing, screening, and load‑out. Employees work with modern heavy equipment and processing machinery in a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment.

In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined, the successful candidate may be expected to take on other tasks and assignments as required, including but not limited to duties outside the typical scope of the role to support overall team operations and organizational needs. Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating a variety of off-road haul trucks and other equipment utilized in mining which could include dredge, loaders, skid loader, etc.
- Perform daily inspection of vehicle and work area assigned
- Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, clean equipment
- Assist on plant maintenance and repairs as needed
- Other mining related duties as required
- High school Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 1-year previous experience in a role with similar responsibilities
- Must have a valid US driver’s license
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
- General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
