What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at Martin Marietta Materials?
Description
- Responsible for operating a variety of equipment utilized in dredge mining
- Perform daily inspection of equipment and work area
- Perform repairs and routine maintenance on plant and mobile equipment
- Maintain consistent and efficient operation of plant
- Inspect and lubricate equipment and plant operations
- Diagnose and assist in trouble-shooting when process is interrupted
- Test material to maintain specs, no DOT training necessary
- Perform preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required
- 1 year related experience
- Must have a valid US drivers license
- Bi-lingual is a plus
This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
