Busy solo practice seeking a motivated experienced paralegal to join the team. Experience in probate matters is strongly preferred. The Firm focuses on estate planning, estate and trust administration, estate and trust litigation, guardianships and conservatorships, and LGBTQ legal matters. The firm is dedicated to working closely with our clients to ensure efficient resolution of their matters and the probate paralegal is an important part of that process.
This position requires a detail-oriented team player able to be responsible for:
Compensation range is $30 - $40 hourly, depending on experience and skills. Benefits include vacation and sick leave policy, employer provided life, short-term, and long-term insurance, optional Simple IRA plan with employer matching contributions, and discretionary year-end bonuses.

This position requires a detail-oriented team player able to be responsible for:
- Clear and precise communication with clients, other counsel, court staff, and other third-parties.
- Maintaining and managing probate files through administration and/or litigation, to include:
- Assisting in the preparation of pleadings, as well as e-filing and serving documents;
- Gathering information for inventories and working on creditor issues;
- Corresponding with financial institutions, CPAs, creditors, and other third-parties;
- Reading and understanding bank statements, investment statements, tax returns, etc.; and
- Generally working with client to gather necessary information for administration and/or litigation.
- Calendaring and assisting with administration and litigation deadlines.
- Assisting with discovery, mediation preparation, and hearing preparation.
- Generally managing an active probate docket.
- Paralegal experience with probate experience.
- Ability and desire to work collaboratively within the team, as well as ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including excellent grammatical skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage priorities.
- A focus on details.
- A self-starter with a desire to grow in their position.
- Experience with Mac computers is preferred, though not required.
- Proficient with technology including Clio, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and Google Suite.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diverse set of individuals.
