Working closely with the Marketing Director and Operations teams, the Proposal Specialist ensures every proposal reflects innovation, precision, and strict adherence to MHC brand standards. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, balancing creativity with technical accuracy to deliver cohesive, impactful presentations. Success in this role requires exceptional planning skills to manage complex proposal schedules and meet non-negotiable deadlines while supporting multiple offices and projects across the Western U.S., West of the Rockies.

Key Responsibilities
Proposal Strategy & Development
- Lead strategy sessions to define win themes and craft compelling narratives that set Martin-Harris apart.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director and technical teams to transform complex project details into persuasive, client-focused content.
- Develop and manage detailed proposal schedules to ensure all milestones and deadlines are met without exception.
- Coordinate multiple proposals simultaneously, working with diverse teams and priorities while maintaining quality and timeliness.
- Write, edit, and format proposal content for clarity and impact.
- Design layouts and graphics using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign required).
- Proofread all submissions for accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
- Ensure all deliverables strictly adhere to Martin-Harris brand guidelines for consistency and professionalism.
- Develop and design brochures, qualifications packages, and custom marketing materials.
- Maintain technical accuracy of templates and boilerplate content.
- Create highly polished, visually compelling PowerPoint presentations for client interviews.
- Work closely with the Marketing Director and Operations teams to develop visuals and messaging that reinforce win themes.
- Support interview preparation with storyboards and creative graphics.
- Assist with award submissions and other marketing materials as needed.
- Adhere to MHC safety standards and obtain OSHA 10 certification for jobsite visits.
- 2 years of marketing experience, preferably in A/E/C industry or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
- Expertise in Adobe InDesign. Expertise in Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills with ability to design custom templates, animations, and impactful visuals.
- Strong writing, editing, and visual design skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
- Familiarity with RFP/RFQ processes and proposal compliance standards.
