What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher (Substantially Separate Program) position at Martin E. Young Elem School?
The Young School is seeking an energetic, experienced special education teacher for a sub-separate classroom (Grade 2). The new teacher would be part of our GROW program. Our GROW program stands for " Getting Ready for the Outside World." Our program works with students with developmental delays and intellectual impairments. We seek a teacher with experience in writing and implementing IEPs, familiarity with low and high-tech communication devices, and experience with the Massachusetts Access and Entry Points for students with intellectual impairments.
Qualified Candidates will be able to:
- differentiate instruction
- collaborate with multiple team members
- develop and implement IEPs that will best serve student needs
- create a classroom environment that is engaging, developmentally appropriate, and trauma- informed
- use data to inform and differentiate instruction
Terms:
182 school days in accordance with the Randolph Education Association (REA) collective bargaining agreement
