Northgreen Golf Club, a historic 18-hole championship course located at 930 Northgreen Lane in Rocky Mount, NC, is seeking an experienced and motivated Greens Manager to lead turf and grounds operations. Under new ownership, the club is actively restoring the course to its former glory—with recent investments in cart paths, greens restoration, fairway repairs, and overall facilities—and aims to deliver consistently excellent playing conditions for members and public guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance with primary focus on greens, tees, fairways, rough, bunkers, and practice areas.
- Develop and execute agronomic programs including fertility, pest/disease management, aeration, topdressing, and cultural practices suited to bentgrass greens and bermudagrass fairways.
- Manage irrigation systems, drainage, and water conservation efforts.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate the grounds maintenance staff; ensure safe work practices and equipment operation.
- Maintain and coordinate repair of mowing, cultivation, and other course equipment.
- Plan and implement seasonal projects, renovations, and long-term capital improvements in alignment with ownership’s vision for course quality.
- Monitor course conditions daily, adjust practices for weather and play, and communicate status to management and the pro shop.
- Maintain accurate records (pesticide applications, budgets, inventory, employee documentation) and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with club leadership on budgets, member/guest feedback, and special events or tournaments.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
