What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lake Crew Captain position at Martin Docks LLC?
The Journeyman is a member of the lake crew who is responsible for managing a small, 1–3-person team to install or repair boat docks and/or accessories. The installs or repairs could include repairing or installing decking, steel and aluminum frames, metal roofing, boat lifts, or floats as well as moving docks in and out of the water. The work is accomplished by using a modified pontoon boat to travel across lakes, rivers, etc. to access the boat dock. Quality dock service is completed while growing in skill and professionalism, in a positive team environment. The Journeyman Captain is semi-advanced in skill and is ultimately responsible for the safety and success of assigned duties, vehicle, water vessel, equipment, and technicians assigned, as well as always representing a professional image. Pre-requisite to be a Journeyman Boat Captain: Successful completion of the Apprentice Boat Captain Training. Journeyman Boat Captain reports to the assigned Service Project Coordinator (SPC). The SPC reports to the Repair Sales Department.
