Job Summary
Martin County has an opening for one full time Administrative Officer II. The employee serves as the Program Manager for a local Public Transportation agency. Will serve as ADA Coordinator, Title VI Coordinator, Chief System Safety Officer, and back up PASS Certified Trainer. Work involves the direct supervision of all the office staff. Reports to the Transit Director all vital updates. Provides supervision for accounts payable, billing invoices, bus maintenance, and the rotation of bus route assignments. Tracks revenues collected and studies operational cost impacts. Prepares the annual budget for adoption. Trains office staff. Conducts office staff evaluations. Employee provides data for the TAB/DSS reports. Conducts public speaking and outreach to promote the services of the agency. Submits all grant applications and NCDOT-IMD reports timely. Employee is responsible for all bus and capital procurements. Works closely with the County Finance Department to ensure reimbursements are recieved. Employee conducts investigations into accidents, injuries, and/or customer complaints. Works an "on call" schedule biweekly for bus accidents and DOT post-accident testing. Responsible for DOT/FTA drug and alcohol tests. Will serve as a backup Transit Driver when needed. The Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm. Some comp time may be required after hours. Employee will work according to safety procedures, all traffic laws, and perform tasks under general supervision. Employee may be called upon in case of a disaster, either man-made or natural, to serve the residents of Martin County in ways other than listed above. These other duties will take precedence over duties described in this job announcement. Salary range is $44,244 to $45,258 per year. Grade is 70.
