What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager & Strategist – Automotive Marketing position at Martin City Marketing?
About the Role
Do you have experience working in marketing? Are you comfortable explaining analytics and delivering a great customer experience? If you answered yes, we want to talk to you!
Martin City Marketing (MCM) is looking for an Account Manager and Strategist who can learn quickly, hit the ground running, and focus on our automotive client base. This person will be the primary point of contact for clients — collaborating with internal teams and relaying information clearly between clients and MCM.
This is not a desk job. You'll spend most of your time in the field, meeting with dealership leadership, building trust, and showing how our marketing solutions help them sell more cars. You'll also serve as the strategic and day-to-day point of contact for your accounts — translating client goals into clear direction for internal teams, and presenting insights, data, and campaign metrics during weekly and monthly client meetings. Understanding of the automotive industry is a huge plus.
What You'll Do
Client Strategy and Relationship Management
- Spend 3–4 days per week visiting dealerships to build in-person relationships.
- Own the client relationship and act as the main point of contact.
- Understand each client's business goals, KPIs, and challenges.
- Develop and guide marketing strategy across campaigns, channels, messaging.
- Translate client goals into clear strategic direction for internal teams.
Campaign Execution and Reporting
- Partner with MCM's internal teams (organic social, PPC, SEO, creative, print, direct mail, etc.) to deliver measurable results and manage campaign activations.
- Present campaign performance, strategic recommendations, and growth strategies directly to dealership leadership.
- Create and deliver reports covering strategy discussions, planning insights, and performance reviews.
- Frequently monitor and report campaign status.
What Strong Candidates Have
- A strategic mindset with the ability to connect marketing performance back to real business goals.
- Confident communicator who can lead client conversations and present directly to dealer principals and GMs.
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and Google Analytics.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing (organic social, PPC, SEO, email, etc.) with a willingness to keep learning.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and campaigns at once.
- A self-starter mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Strong desire for collaboration, creative brainstorms, and proactive client engagement.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in account management/client services.
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college/university, or 5 years of marketing experience.
- Comfort presenting insights, recommendations, and reporting to clients.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts.
