Martin Bros Distributing in Cedar Falls is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift/Reach Truck Operator - Let Downs to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for the nightly let-down process, ensuring product quality, proper inventory rotation, and maintaining adequate stock levels for order selectors. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
This position is part-time and works Sunday - Thursday from 4 pm - 8 pm (end time may vary, holidays/extra hours when required).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily spot checks of let-down pallets to ensure product quality meets company standards.
- Follow First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory rotation procedures.
- Follow let-down sheets to maintain adequate slot inventory for selectors.
- Properly stage let-down product and apply corner protection when necessary.
- Transfer product to pallets when designated.
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Handle all products carefully to minimize damage.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Lift products weighing 40 to 150 pounds, including lifting to head level.
- Carry products weighing 40 to 150 pounds for short distances.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift/carry for entire shift
- Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
- The warehouse environment may include: hot and cold temperatures, dust and noise. Constant movement and equipment operation. Repetitive physical activity for entire shift
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check upon job offer
