Responsibilities
- Safely operate assigned tractor/trailer to deliver products to customers on scheduled routes.
- Ensure accurate and on-time deliveries, placing products in designated temperature-controlled areas (cooler, freezer, dry storage, etc.).
- Stack, scan, and transport products safely during deliveries.
- Issue credits and handle returns as directed by company procedures.
- Perform customer service functions, including collections when required.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, or the Transportation office as needed.
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, maintaining positive relationships.
- Follow all company procedures, policies, and uniform requirements.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain ELD logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Evaluate delivery sites for potential safety hazards and practice safe driving principles.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
- Ability to work early morning shifts, typically starting between 2:00 4:00 AM.
- Willingness to work 1012-hour shifts, averaging 5055 hours per week.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
- Professional conduct with customers, the public, and coworkers.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stacking, scanning, and transporting products.
Compensation
Average total compensation: $80,000 $100,000 per year
