Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to various learning styles.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists to support student development, including those with special education needs.
- Provide early intervention strategies for students requiring additional assistance in literacy education and math.
- Foster communication skills among students through interactive activities and discussions.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with parents regularly.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Qualifications
- Must have your 90-hour certificate, 45-hour school age certificate, 9-hour communication certificate, ADA, Basic Health and Safety and First Aid/CPR.
- Experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting is essential; school age experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- Understanding of childhood development principles and child welfare practices.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs, including those requiring special education services.
