Quality Inspector A
Martin-Baker America is seeking an experienced Inspector A to ensure the quality and compliance of in-house and supplier machined parts, fabricated sheet metal components, and inspection tooling. This role involves performing detailed visual and dimensional inspections, conducting tests for surface finish, hardness, and conductivity, and completing all required documentation and reports to verify that manufactured goods meet engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
The position requires proficiency in specialized inspection equipment such as coordinate measuring machines, optical comparators, hardness testers, and profilometers, as well as standard precision tools including micrometers, bore gages, calipers, and dial indicators. Candidates must be skilled in interpreting technical drawings and specifications, applying inspection techniques, and using shop math, geometry, and trigonometry. A solid understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly is essential.
Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED and at least five years of inspection or related experience. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to teamwork are key to success in this role.
