What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nightclub Security position at Martha's Vineyard Nightclub?
We are currently searching for an individual to add to our security team. You need to be personable, skilled at talking to others and excellent at deescalating negative behaviors without the use of force. As a part of the security team, you would continuously walk the nightclub, from the bathrooms to the bar itself, to always ensure a safe environment. Or if working the door security position, you would inspect bags and ensure patrons are not entering with weapons or outside liquor. Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Be skilled at de-escalating situations before, only using force when there is no other option
- Monitor and authorize entrance of people on the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Skills
- Proven experience as security officer or guard is a plus
- Personable, outgoing personality, with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- High School diploma is required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
