Robotics Teacher

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive robotics curricula that integrate principles of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
• Develop lesson plans that incorporate instructional design best practices, ensuring clarity and engagement for students with varying learning needs.
• Facilitate hands-on activities such as robot assembly, programming, and dissection to deepen understanding of mechanical and electronic systems.
• Utilize learning technology tools to enhance classroom instruction and student interaction with robotics projects.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, project evaluations, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
• Mentor students in scientific research projects, competitions, and extracurricular activities related to robotics and STEM fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, engineering, computer science, or a related STEM field; teaching certification preferred.
• Proven classroom management skills with experience in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse student populations.
• Strong knowledge of robotics systems, programming languages (such as Python or C ), and working with microcontrollers like Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
• Familiarity with educational technology platforms and tools for instructional delivery and student engagement.
• Experience in laboratory settings including dissection, scientific research methodologies, and laboratory safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and motivate students effectively.
• Prior experience working with students in private school settings or specialized education programs is a plus. Pay: $24.38 - $29.36 per hour
