Position Overview
We're looking for an experienced industrial painter who understands blasting, coating, and surface prep. This role works directly with the Foreman and is responsible for delivering quality work that meets customer specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and understand customer specifications and job requirements
- Follow quality procedures and safety guidelines at all times
- Set up, clean, and prepare surfaces in line with SSPC standards
- Apply coatings using proper techniques and approved equipment
- Monitor environmental conditions during application and drying
- Verify finish quality, including appearance and DFT readings
- Protect coated surfaces through drying, curing, and material handling
- Perform basic equipment care and maintenance
What We're Looking For
- Experience in industrial blasting and painting
- Ability to read and follow job specifications
- Strong understanding of PPE and safe work practices
- Working knowledge of paint equipment and proper maintenance
- Familiarity with SSPC surface prep standards
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet quality expectations
Schedule and Work Environment
- Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (40 hours/week).
- Additional hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
- On-site position at Martelli's Ivyland, PA facility.
