Furniture Frame Builder / Wood Frame Assembler

Marshfield Furniture is looking for a dependable, hands-on team member to assemble wooden furniture frames before they move into upholstery. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in carpentry, woodworking, construction, cabinet making, manufacturing, or working with hand and air-powered tools.

In this role, you will fit wooden frame parts together, fasten components using large pneumatic staple guns and other tools, and help build the foundation of high-quality upholstered furniture.

Schedule

All shifts start at 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble wooden furniture frames before upholstery
• Fit wood frame parts together according to production specifications
• Fasten frame components using pneumatic staple guns, nail guns, mallets, and other hand tools
• Read and follow specification tickets for each furniture piece
• Check frame parts for proper fit, alignment, and quality
• Apply cardboard, padding, or other materials to frame areas as needed
• Use templates or guides to complete frame preparation
• Make minor adjustments during the assembly process to meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work safely and efficiently in a team environment
• Interact in a positive and respectful manner with other team members

Qualifications

• Carpentry, woodworking, construction, cabinet making, furniture building, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience using hand tools, air staple guns, nail guns, or other pneumatic tools preferred
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production tickets
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment
• Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
• Basic reading and writing comprehension
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to read, understand, and speak English for safety and work instruction purposes
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test with negative results
• Must complete the designated length of service to receive the sign-on bonus
