Job Title: Physician - Pediatric Surgery Cost Center: 301351234 Mfld-Pediatric Surgery Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Time Type: Full time Job Description: Marshfield Clinic Health System is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Surgeon to join our established Pediatric Surgical Department at Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. You will join an experienced group of Pediatric Surgeons to further develop the program and provide comprehensive care to our pediatric patients in Northcentral Wisconsin. This position is well supported which includes a Physician Assistant who is part of the program, along with all Pediatric Subspecialities available onsite. You will be responsible for training our General Surgery residents in Pediatric Surgical Care. Opportunities exist to help lead the Pediatric Trauma Program and serve as the Surgical Liaison to COG if desired. The Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI) will support research initiatives if desired. Marshfield Children's Hospital Our 56-bed Children's Hospital is Central Wisconsin's only accredited pediatric hospital, and one of only four in Wisconsin. It is equipped with the latest technology, more than 40 pediatric specialties and board-certified pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and neonatologists. The hospital has a 24 bed level 3 NICU with 24/7 neonatology support and normal newborn nursery; 8 bed PICU with 24/7 pediatric intensivist support including sedation services; 26 bed pediatric acute beds including 8 bed Heme-Onc positive pressure rooms and 24/7 pediatric hospitalist support. Marshfield Children’s is an ACS Verified Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Program and a member of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG). Certified child life specialists ensure children receive the emotional support they may need to cope with their treatment during their hospital stay. Marshfield Clinic can support a variety of visas including J1 waivers (location dependent) and H1Bs (cap exempt organization).
