The Mental Health Counselor - Qualified Treatment Trainee position is an externship program to provide APSW’s, LPC-IT’s, and LMFT-IT’s with an opportunity to obtain the necessary clinical hours to pursue a license within the state of Wisconsin. The primary responsibilities include care coordination, intake screening, and providing evaluation and treatment to patients in the form of individual, marital, family and group therapy in a clinical practice, as well as participating in evaluation, diagnosis and development of treatment plans for patients. These services are provided under the clinical supervision of a licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed Professional Counselor, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or licensed Clinical Psychologist as applicable to the state of Wisconsin and according to the philosophy and practice objectives established by Marshfield Clinic Health System.
