Graphic Designer

Graphic Designers play an instrumental role in influencing how customers and the public perceive MARSHALLTOWN.  You will work in a fast-paced, fun and rewarding environment with people who will appreciate your contribution.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Utilize design talent to create custom signage for customers including large retail, TV shows, schools and trade shows
• Perform professional photography of new items as well as photography for promotional use
• Design custom packaging to strategically position and merchandise our product
• Work on cross functional teams with engineering, marketing and purchasing to design and develop new products
• Instrumental in trade show booth design
• Ability to partner with marketing to ensure designs align with brand standards and visual identity while following processes
• Responsible for master catalog maintenance and design
• Add creative insight to company website, social media and other online media

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred as well as post-high school education in graphic design or related creative program, OR a combination of two years post high school education and relevant work experience in graphic design
• Ability to maintain various distinct brand identities within MARSHALLTOWN's Iconic brands portfolio
• Strong analytical skills and computer skills
• Proficiency in photography is preferred, but not required
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Strong working knowledge of Macintosh, graphic design programs not limited to InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and PC office
• Strong knowledge of programs not limited to, Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must possess an eye for detail in all work
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be able to travel overnight occasionally
• Demonstrated ability to perform well and remain organized under tight deadlines
• Vinyl application skills are preferred
• Must be creative with the ability to work within provided guidelines
