Position SummaryThe Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine’s Department of Cardiovascular Services is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our growing faculty. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex heart failure, including pre- and post-transplant care, mechanical circulatory support, and advanced therapies. This role is part of a dynamic and expanding academic cardiology program in a collegial, team-based environment. Faculty physicians enjoy access to state-of-the-art facilities and strong institutional support for both clinical and academic growth. This position does not involve transplant or LVAD implantation, as these services are referred to external centers. This appointment is open at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on a clinical track, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and interests. ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive care for patients with advanced heart failure, including those requiring mechanical circulatory support or transplant evaluation.Participate in the development and advancement of the Advanced Heart Failure program, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.Serve as attending physician at one primary site, with coverage rotating among two hospitals and satellite clinics.Participate in inpatient rounding every 6th weekend, with support from cardiology fellows (no year-round call requirement).Teach and mentor general cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students in both formal and informal settings.Engage in scholarly activity including quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and collaboration with Marshall’s translational and biomedical sciences programs.Additional InformationThis position qualifies for J-1 visa sponsorshipFaculty are supported by an ACGME-approved cardiology fellowship program and advanced cardiovascular imaging programsMarshall Health is part of a thriving health system with two major hospital partners and an expanding regional network Marshall University is an equal opportunity employer and encourages all qualified individuals to apply.Marshall University is an equal opportunity employer and encourages all qualified individuals to apply
