The ideal candidate will have a primary focus on Issuances, Valuation, Settlement, Accounting, Liquidity Management, and knowledge of external ratings of securities and financial counterparts.
Core Responsibilities
- Understand business needs related to liquidity management with expertise in WB Loan products, IDA products, Capital Market products, and Investment products.
- Minimize gaps, redundancies, rework, and duplication by coordinating new requirements with Business Sponsors and project governance bodies.
- Ensure product-based solutions align with ITS’s strategic guidelines, including technology standards, development methodology, and outsourcing/offshoring.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of business processes and data, providing technical leadership to the application support team post-product launch.
- Document business requirements using bank-standard tools/templates, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Analyze requirements and scenarios, prepare test cases, perform system integration testing, document results, conduct regression testing, and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Act as a Business Analyst for Capital Markets within Treasury, including Liquidity Management, Issuances, buybacks, derivatives, valuations, trade lifecycle, accounting, and debt allocation.
- Build stakeholder consensus and ensure alignment on proposed solutions.
- Develop business cases, requirements, use cases, test plans, test strategies, test cases, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with fiduciary reviewers and support security testing.
- Participate in COTS solution procurement, including RFP preparation, cost estimates, benefits realization, and IT Governance.
- Prioritize requirements and manage scope effectively.
- Document business processes and workflows.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Tech Leads, Solution Architects, Developers, etc., to evaluate existing solutions or feasibility of new solutions.
- Use rapid prototyping to present current and proposed processes/workflows and solution designs.
- Support successful design, testing, and implementation of applications, develop training materials, and conduct training.
- Maintain a comprehensive chronological trail of requirements and agreements, contribute to the project change control process, and document/manage issues and actions.
- Evaluate new products or initiatives for technology support and analyze gaps between current and desired states.
- Propose recommendations based on industry best practices and coordinate with vendors to oversee deliverables.
- Train business users on applications and troubleshoot systems post-production.
- Excellent knowledge of capital markets business, including External and Internal Ratings, Front & Back Office Business Processes, Market Data, Plain Vanilla & Structured Instruments, Trade Lifecycle, Settlement & Messaging, and Accounting.
- Up-to-date experience with SDLC and a cross-functional perspective to bridge business and IT gaps.
- Strong understanding of Project Management and IT Governance.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and SQL.
- Proven conceptual, analytical, and judgmental skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to present concepts to senior audiences.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Finance, MBA, or related field.
- 8 years of professional experience in Capital Markets.
- Solid experience as a Business Analyst with a record of presenting concepts to senior stakeholders and ensuring clear business architecture definitions.
- Experience in teamwork and consensus-building within a multinational, multicultural institution.

- Proven organizational skills and ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
- CFA candidate or degree in Risk Management.
- Strong organizational skills, business judgment, and a track record of delivering results.
- Strategic vision with experience translating client’s business needs into IT deliverables.
- Knowledge of VBA, PL/SQL, and reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with Capital Markets trading systems (such as Murex or Summit).
