The Analyst will play an integral role in evaluating opportunities, preparing client-facing materials, conducting financial analyses, and supporting transaction execution from initial marketing through close. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers and gain broad exposure to sell-side advisory assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate prospective clients and transaction opportunities through industry research, company analysis, valuation review, and business development support.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, and LBO analyses.
- Prepare pitch books, management presentations, teasers, confidential information memoranda, and other client-facing marketing materials.
- Support live transaction execution, including due diligence coordination, virtual data room management, buyer outreach support, and process tracking.
- Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research to support strategic positioning and transaction recommendations.
- Assist with preparation of client deliverables, internal memoranda, valuation analyses, and ad hoc financial presentations.
- Track relevant market trends, macroeconomic developments, and comparable M&A activity.
- Coordinate with senior bankers, clients, legal counsel, accounting advisors, and other third parties throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Maintain high standards of analytical rigor, attention to detail, and responsiveness across multiple concurrent projects.
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record, preferably in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, valuation, transaction advisory, consulting, public accounting, or other finance-intensive roles.
- Prior internship experience in investment banking, valuation, corporate finance, private equity, or transaction services strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and corporate finance fundamentals.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to synthesize financial and qualitative information into clear, accurate, and compelling analyses.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, sound judgment, and a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
