What This Job Will Do
As an Associate in Financial Valuation, you will support business valuation and commercial real estate engagements by conducting financial statement analysis and modeling, industry research, valuation analysis, and report writing for estate and gift matters, employee stock ownership plans, management planning, and litigation support matters. You will work closely with senior professionals to apply valuation methodologies and ensure high-quality deliverables in a timely manner. This role provides hands-on experience in business valuation and commercial real estate appraisal including participation in business site visits and management interviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of business valuations and commercial real estate appraisals.
- Analyze financial statements, tax filings, and company performance for valuation purposes.
- Conduct economic and industry research to support valuation conclusions.
- Develop financial models and valuation analyses using various valuation methodologies including capitalization of cash flow, discounted cash flow, and market multiples.
- Prepare written business valuation reports and commercial real estate appraisal reports.
- Collaborate with senior valuation professionals to execute client engagements.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in business valuation, financial analysis, or related fields.
- Proficiency with financial statements (tax returns would be helpful but not required).
- Exposure to financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail, and critical thinking
- Analytical & Research Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets, assess financial trends, and interpret valuation results.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly.
