We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities. This role requires a strong background in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs. The Building Maintenance Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for all buildings and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine interior and exterior inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Maintain all MSDC buildings, residential homes, vehicles and equipment through direct service or arrangement for service.
- Maintains preventative maintenance program and log for all facility equipment including mechanical and electrical items, motorized vehicles, etc.
- Maintain HVAC and electrical systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Conducts regular scheduled and unscheduled inspections of fire systems and internal security systems.
- Execute field service tasks, ensuring all work contracted or otherwise is completed to high standards.
- Maintain timely and accurate records pertaining to buildings/homes/grounds and completes necessary documentation for ordering replacement parts, new equipment, and supplies.
- Document maintenance activities and report any significant issues to management.
- Responsible for snow/ice removal from MSDC properties.
- Respond to building emergencies at all hours as needed.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems.
- Experience with welding techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- 3 years of facilities management or relevant experience. (Required)
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with all types of people.
