Part-Time, Teaching-Track Faculty Positions in Leadership

The Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California seeks qualified applicants for part-time, one-semester, in-person positions as Lecturer to join our faculty at the Washington, DC, Capital Campus in Fall 2026.

A Leadership faculty member will teach first semester undergraduate students enrolled in a Leadership class (4 Units). This course examines leadership through social analysis, focusing on how individual and collective actions shape and are shaped by organizations, institutions, and cultural contexts. Students explore leadership theories, styles, and practices within broader economic, political, and cultural systems. The course emphasizes empirical and theoretical social science methods to analyze leadership’s role in social dynamics.

The class fulfills USC General Education requirements in Social Analysis.

Faculty teach one to three sections, for which they will develop syllabi and assignments in accordance with program guidelines. The class meets two days per week in two, two-hour blocks at the Capital Campus at 1771 N St NW in Washington, DC. The faculty member is encouraged to take students on two - three site visits and/or host distinguished speakers over the course of the semester.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should have a PhD or other terminal degree by August 2025. We require demonstrated excellence in teaching International Relations at the college level. Candidates should demonstrate responsiveness toward and understanding of diverse student backgrounds, especially with regard to socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, culture, ability/disability, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
