Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sheet Metal Worker based in Peabody, MA. The Sheet Metal Worker will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal components for various projects. Daily responsibilities include working with hand tools, performing precise metalworking tasks, and ensuring the quality and safety of all completed work. Collaboration with team members and adherence to project timelines will be key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using hand tools and performing detailed metalworking tasks
- Experience with welding and working with sheet metal materials
- Knowledge of practices related to sheet metal applications in areas such as construction or manufacturing
- Familiarity with sheet metal processes in specialized domains, such as aircraft-related work, is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must have reliable transportation to Peabody, MA
- Completion of a sheet metal apprenticeship program or equivalent experience is preferred
- Standing union status or willing to join the union
