- Graduation from an Occupational Assistant program with a minimum of an Associate's degree and successful completion of clinical internship requirements.
- Current Licensure or eligibility for licensure by the Board of Medical Examiners, State of California required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Knowledge :
- One year of professional experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of occupational therapy procedures and techniques required for providing routine inpatient, SNF and outpatient physical therapy treatments.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures.
- Knowledge of proper body mechanics.Skills :
- Ability to follow directions accurately.
- Ability to establish effective relationships with patients and fellow employees.
- Ability to assume responsibility for updating skills as required by hospital policy.
