Lead AV Technician - Denver/Aurora

Marshall Industries Inc., an employee-owned company established in 1975, is a leader in the Audio/Video integration industry and we are currently seeking a Lead Audio Video Installation Technician to join our Denver/Aurora, CO team. We serve a wide range of sectors including Healthcare, Education, House of Worship, Communications, and Commercial AV. 

Primary Role:

The Lead Audio Video Installation Technician is responsible for leading, coordinating, and performing the installation and troubleshooting of electronic communication systems. This role provides direction and support to installation team members, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with company standards. The Lead Technician is accountable for overseeing installation quality, resolving technical issues, and promoting a safe, professional work environment. All installations must meet the highest quality standards established by Marshall Industries while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily work activities and provide guidance to installation team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications.
• Pull electronic cable and assist team members with cable installation activities as needed.
• Responsible for the basic wiring and installation of hardware while providing technical guidance to crew members.
• Responsible for the operation of cable testing equipment 
• Lead the installation team in meeting all project and installation deadlines.
• Operate power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure full compliance with the company's and customer's safety programs and promote safe work practices among team members.
• Communicate job progress, installation issues, and project needs to management as required.
• Other duties as required or assigned by company management.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

• 2 years of experience serving as a lead technician on commercial installation projects
• 3 years of experience installing and/or servicing commercial AV systems
• 2 years of audio DSP programming at least one of BSS, Biamp, Q-SYS
• AMX/Crestron programming knowledge a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• CTS Certification a plus but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to plan, organize and implement skills allowing the successful completion of the project that are date sensitive
• Demonstrated ability to provide onsite leadership and guidance to installation team members.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate jobsite activities and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.

Requirements:

• Valid US driver’s license
• High school diploma or equal
• Must pass a drug screen
• Background screening 
• Some travel is required
• Able to work overtime

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to handle heavy equipment and tools, and to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle small components and tools
• Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
• Capability to lift and carry heavy objects, sometimes over 50 pounds
• Ability to work in awkward positions and reach difficult areas
