Job Responsibilities:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from a medical vocational program preferred. Certification from an accredited phlebotomy program required.
Experience: 6 months experience required,One year experience preferred.

- Greets patients and screens for appropriate information. Instructs and assists patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Prepares equipment to collect blood products.
- Performs venipuncture, arterial and capillary punctures on patients as directed by physician following medical practice protocols related to safety, infection control, and confidentiality. Conducts lab tests on specimens and enters data into computer.
- Maintains a clean, attractive work area and keeps clinical areas stocked with appropriate medical supplies.
- Cleans/sterilizes medical instruments and equipment following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
