Job Responsibilities:
EXPERIENCE: Prefer six months work experience, preferably in a medical office
setting. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

- Serves as a resource for staff and patients in need of making financial arrangements and account inquiries as it relates to billing and customer satisfaction.
- Administers and communicates financial policies to patients and/or legal guardians.
- Provides charity applications to all patients who request assistance. Sends letter to patients confirming charity status. Maintains charity files of all monthly write-offs.
- Follows policy on write-off transactions over a certain threshold.
- Updates and amends registration and patient data as to insurance information as needed.
- Provides follow-up and documents calls to patients who fail to meet financial arrangements.
- Follows and understands policies and procedures as it relates to the professional fee reimbursement process.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
