Paraprofessional - Title I

Under general supervision serves as a support to the assigned classroom teacher or instructional area in providing educational opportunities for each student within various disciplines.

Additional Job Information:

This position is supported entirely by Federal Grant funds and is a year-to-year position. Employment is contingent upon (a) the needs of the school, (b) the needs of the district, (c) availability of the Grant funds, and (d) satisfactory job performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 1. Hold an associate’s degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.

   OR
   2. Have completed two (2) years of college coursework (sixty [60] semester hours or [90] quarter hours) above the remedial level with a grade of “C” or better at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.
   OR
   3. Have passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
