Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role located in Wadesville, IN. This role is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting activities, including preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the general ledger, monitoring cash flow, reviewing budgets, and ensuring accurate billing and expense tracking for residential, commercial, industrial, and construction services. The Financial Controller will implement and maintain internal controls, support compliance with relevant regulations, and provide financial insights to leadership for decision-making. The role also involves working closely with operations and management to improve processes, support vendor and customer accounting, and assist with audits and year-end closing.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting foundation with skills in Accounting and preparation of Financial Statements.
- Experience in Finance and Financial Reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- High-level Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support strategic decisions.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal control practices.
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities.
- Prior experience in small business, logistics, waste management, or related industries is beneficial.
