MHS High School Seniors Wanted: Get Paid. Earn Credit. Build Your Future.

Are you a current junior at Marshall High School (MHS) looking for a job that offers pay and provides hands-on experience, all while earning class credit? If you answer yes, then keep reading.

Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) is hiring two Student Tellers to work at our CU in School branch inside MHS! This is a great opportunity to gain marketable job skills, grow your understanding of financial wellness, and make a difference in your school community.

What You'll Do:

  • Participate in an independent study class where you will learn all things finance.
  • Operate MHS's CU in School branch, where you will help student members and staff with their banking needs.
  • Educate members on products and services available.
  • Market MCCU within MHS to students and staff who are not members.
  • Provide accurate account transactions, problem solve and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Opportunity to pick up paid hours outside of CU in School branch at our main branch and by participating in community events.
  • Build your resume, confidence, and career skills-all in a fun, supportive environment.

What You'll Get:

  • $14.00/hour starting pay, plus the opportunity to earn referral bonuses. Additional pay is available for bilingual candidates.
  • Professional training and mentorship.
  • A chance to explore careers in business, finance, marketing, and customer service.

Requirements:

  • Must be a current junior at Marshall High School who will be a senior for the 2025-2026 school year.
  • Must be able to perform basic clerical tasks and enjoy working with people.

Work Schedule:

  • Summer before senior year: Mandatory paid training and optional paid shifts available during business hours: Monday-Friday (8 AM-5 PM), Saturday (8:30 AM-1 PM).
  • School year: Scheduled hours during school for class credit, plus optional paid shifts after school Monday-Friday (3-5:30 PM) and Saturdays (8:30 AM-1 PM).
  • Community events: Earn additional paid time by helping at events like MHS sporting games, Battle Jacks, etc.
